??? Appliqued sections are made from velvet fused to interfacing for stability with metal organza bonded to the surface and couched in various weights of gold cord. The bodice will be custom dyed and bought ready coloured velveteen and the skirts from various taffetas and velvets and an assortment of gold beads, ribbons and cords. 
 May 2005 A test run of the patterns and colours used to make the full skirt and to see if the pattern for the illusion bodice would work. 
 1999 Rope skirt made from twisted yarns, the bodice from double velvet and backed with cotton drill. Appliques made from shot velvet (gold ground, black pile) and covered in sew on acrulic jewels.
